World Food by Kitchen Nomad

Kitchen Nomad is a new company launched a week ago by Fanny, Clara and Bryn, who once a month will be delivering to your door a box of goodies of food from different countries around the world each month.
For their first box was from the Mediterranean country of Greece, you can tell that these guys are going to be pretty interesting in their choices of countries. I see them choosing more of the lesser explored countries than your normal more popular European destinations.
Kitchen Nomad’s partner for this month was the Real Greek and Tonia Buxton, author and presenter of My Greek Kitchen, which I think is still available on a satellite channel or on Youtube. The Real Greek provided us with some delicious nibbles, which the Dolmades were the real delight that evening.

So basically it works like this, once a month a box of about nine goodies will be delivered to your front door, along with a set of recipe cards for you to create a meal form that months country. As I said their launch country was Greece and in the box were:

  • A jar of Vine Leaves
  • Pickled Capers
  • Kalamata Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Cassia Bark
  • Dukkah Spice Mix
  • Orzo Pasta
  • A jar of Organic Tomato Sauce
  • Kalamata Black Olives
  • Dried Figs
All of these products are from Greece itself and most are pretty hard to find in your local supermarket and along with the recipe cards give you choices of starters, mains and a desert, shamefully I have to say I have been having a really mad mad week so far, and therefore I haven’t had time to make any of the dishes, but hopefully this weekend.

Fanny, Clara and Bryn have come up with a great idea and I wish them all the best and I know it is going to go from strength to strength.
They wouldn’t tell me where next months box was going to be based on, but I think it may be Asia. Gonna be interesting.
Happy Cooking.

The main functions of a kitchen are to store, prepare and cook food and to complete related tasks such as dishwashing.insignia tv won't turn on
