Ippudo was definitely one of the highlights of our weeklong stay in New York last March, yes it’s taken me a long while to finally come to this point.

It’s been nearly a year since we were in New York and I still haven’t written about Ippudo or Katz. Disgraceful.

Shame on me as these were the two places we really wanted to eat at, and I’m glad we did as they lived up to expectations.

Mark Hix, some would say is a man with his finger on the pulse, knowing exactly what the paying punters want and gladly gives it to them at a price, especially the suited and booted.

Pho @ Cu Tu

Standing on the site of the old Hung Viet Restaurant is the new Cu Tu Restaurant. I’d never eaten in Hung Viet, so I cannot say if this is a new incarnation to avoid some taxes or is a totally new gaff in its own right, but it certainly has a lived in feel about it already.

Joseph's Cafe

After a quality fry up of egg, bacon, sausage, black pudding, beans, tomato’s and sometime a slice of fried bread only a cheese omelette comes close to this piece of heaven.

Some Fine Brekkies in a few Greasy Spoons

I love a good fry up, always have and as long as my body can take them, I always will. I hope.

I’ve always preferred my full English in more traditional cafes that sadly now seem to be very thin on the ground.

Like everyone else in London, I’m enjoying the latest trend of Ramen noodle soup and even more with all the new ramen shops opening up left right and centre now.

An Invitation for some local French Food

We were lucky enough to be invited to the 1^st anniversary party of the Angel branch of Cote a few weeks ago.

It was a great fun night and a chance to meet the guys behind this ever growing chain of French Bistro style neighborhood restaurants.
